Vizovice
The Vizovice district is famous not only for its beautiful countryside but also for its tradition of fruit growing and distilling, made famous in part by the R. Jelínek company. The share of working-age population (15–64 years) here is the highest of any district in the Zlin Region.
Besides its renowned slivovitz, Vizovice is also known for its ceremonial pastries with 36 basic patterns, each carrying deep symbolic meaning — a little hen symbolizes fertility, a hedgehog protects health.
