Welcome to the Zlin Region

Holešov

Holešov

Holešov is the second-smallest district in the region, yet it has plenty to offer. Its landmark is the Šach Synagogue, today the only surviving synagogue of the so-called Polish type preserved in its original form, along with the nearby tomb of Rabbi Shlomo Sabbatai ben Meir ha-Kohen (known as Shach), a pilgrimage site for believers from around the world. The region also has the highest share of agricultural and arable land in the county, and its picturesque villages include Přílepy.
The average resident age of 44.1 years is the fourth-lowest in the county, and people here sort their waste at an above-average rate.
