Otrokovice is the smallest district in the region, with the highest population density (298.9 residents per km² in 2025). Today, the town of Otrokovice, with a population of 17,000, is the sixth-largest town in the Zlín Region and serves as the center of a micro-region encompassing municipalities with more than 33,000 residents in total. A remarkable technical monument and recreational feature is the 53 km Baťa Canal, navigable from Otrokovice all the way to Skalica — future plans include extending it to Kroměříž.
The other town in this district is Napajedla, home to a Baroque chateau and park, where the Fatra Napajedla factory produced the iconic toys of designer Libuše Niklová.
